If you live in Chicago, you live with the 'L'.
And now you can wear it.

The current CTA 'L' signage is a modification of the original 1969 design, known as the "Kennedy-Dan Ryan" signage, set in Helvetica and color-coded to match the eight corresponding CTA 'L' lines.

The idea to make a series of color-coded t-shirts with distinct Chicago stops came to me while riding the Brown line about two years ago. Living in Chicago, I've noticed how people identify with their neighborhoods and the lines and stops near them. That sense of kinship–coupled with my affection for typography, design and the city–have inspired me to create this series. As a personal project, my motivation is driven by the hope of someday walking by someone on the street wearing a L-Shirt.

Currently, the only stops available for sale are the four Chicago Avenue stops along the Red, Blue, Brown and Purple lines. I hope to have more available in the future.

Thanks for your interest and I hope to see you in a L-Shirt.
